Easy Apple Turnovers

#1  Buy pre-made refrigerated dough

#2 Enlist someone to peel the apples


  • 4 Granny Smith apples, cut into chunks
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar plus 2 Tablespoons for dusting over turnovers
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten


  1. Cook apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Use a medium pot at medium heat. 10 minutes
  2. Add flour and stir constantly until apple mixture thickens (about 4 minutes)
  3. Transfer to another dish, let cool.
  4. Unroll pie dough and cut into 4 pieces.

6. Place 1 Tablespoon apple filling on each piece, moisten edges with little water







7. Bring the 2 straight sides together, press, crimp with fork.

8. Crimp curvy side too. Brush with egg white, sprinkle with sugar.

9. Make 1 small cut (so hot air can escape) Bake at 425F   15-20 minutes
