Gremolata -Lemon Zest, Garlic, and Parsely

Gremolata, a combination of parsley, lemon zest, and garlic makes for a fine condiment for almost anything


  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, finely chopped]
  • 1/4  cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4  tsp black pepper

Combine all ingredients and you have Gremolata. The classic condiment for Ossobuco Alla Milanese. Some restaurants add Gremolata to a batch of freshly made French fries and the combo is pretty flavorful. Try it you might like it.

Gremolata can wake up any fish, chicken, or an otherwise boring vegetable. It adds lots of flavor without calories.
